Aimi Kobayashi(16) plays Scriabin Sonata-Fantasy op.19 at Gina Bachauer Young Artist Competition in the 2nd round. She also played Chopin Piano Sonata no.2 op.35 "Funeral". At the final round she performed 1st movement of the 1st Chopin Piano Concerto and got the 3rd prize. 1st movement- 00:18 2nd movement - 07:36

The unique video of Aimi playing Chopin Scherzo #2 op.31 at the recital "Passion of Music 2008" in New-York. She played it also at the Carnegie Hall recital but there is only the one and only video of this performance. This was 14 years ago when Ami was 7. Unfortunately, her spontaneous carefree totally dedicated effortless musical genius has ended, and playing now appears to be an excruciating emotional battlefield for Ami. Sad, but something has happened in her life.

Compared to Brendel the A-part is more on the energic side, also due to the harsh recording. Thats quite possible to see it that way, although i would personally prefer a more playful and nostalgic mood for the a-part, more like Brendel.
